My first million dollars

I have an idea that is sure to make me millions. I'm just looking for some financial backers.

OK, so currently they pick rice from the rice fields and dry it, ship it and we re-hydrate it to eat it.

What if I sold fresh rice. Never dried. It would be a gourmet item and we could charge 5x the going rate on rice. It's a real money maker and there has to be a market for this in specialty catalogs and gourmet stores.

Who's in with me? Missouri may not be the best place to set up my rice patties, but those are just technicals that we will get figured out.

You think that fresh rice will taste no different than rehydrated rice and therefore not a market for it?

Think of water. not only are people paying $1.20 for 20 oz of 'whatever' water. But people are spending $2-$5 on 'designer' waters.

My rice, like Fiji water, is all in the advertising.

It takes a nation to hold them back.

You are now comparing Dasani to water to Fiji water....Funny thing is that I want to buy Figi water but I cannot bring myself to spend that much on water.....However 5 years ago I would have never spent anything other than "FREE" on water. I mean water is water. It all tastes like water.
Best 0 calorie drink in all the world.
I know that you did not day Dasani but......when you say water I think Dasani " :) with a Coke SMILE!! )

Dude, look at the ingredients list for Dasani.

I know what your thinking, "Water shouldn't have an ingredients list." but Dasani does. 'Water, salt, and magnesium [something].'

Water should contain water. When I buy it, I look for something that says it was filtered with reverse osmosis, maybe UV filtration and maybe another. But when they add ingredients to their list, I'm no longer supportive.

I'm not talking bad about Coke. (but I could) But lets' say NO to water with added ingredients.

And it should be spring water, too. I can taste the "minerals added". In fact, some say, "minerals added for flavor." Yuck. Who wants to drink rocks.

I have to say, ... I like tap water. Now if someone bottled tap water I'd buy that!! Come on it has minerals, flouride and whatever is stuck to the inside of your plumbing.... now that's just tasty!!! I do buy Figi every once in a while though... but that is just because it is the only bottle that truely fits into the SQUARE cupholders in my car! (Dang foriegn vehicles!)

As to your rice idea Ken... I'll invest a clean $5!! Now I can say I gave you your start!
